Fan Thoughts - Arsenal's Training Session

Just got home from the training session before tomorrow’s game with Malaysia IX. Some thoughts to share with gooners worldwide:

1. Arsene runs. A lot. Wow. This may not be news to some (lucky londener gooners who sneak into Colney maybe) but it sure changes my perception of him as a 'mere' professor.

2. Steve Bould also runs. A lot. Which is very nice. I didn't attend the training session when the gunners came down here last year but my mate K (who rambles here: https://twitter.com/kh4lilul) tells me Pat Rice wasn't half as lively on the field. Age perhaps? Those who say Bould is another Wenger ‘yes man’ will be pleased to know that he ran the complement of defenders and 'defensive midfielders' (honestly, in last year’s team, were there any? at all? yes, I’m looking at you Mr. run forwards Song) drills the whole time, with Wenger working on the midfielders. Nice to see how the team works J Nice to see the team, period.

I’d put more points in but just dawned on me that my limited knowledge and the fact that this was hardly a proper training session (most of the players each visited or attended different events the whole day, and the training session was from 8.30 to 10ish) hardly speaks much of actual groundwork the team might be doing.

Another point of note is that i wonder if this is more a true initiation session for what remains of Arsenal’s project youth. With so many on the tour this time being the cream of the under 22’s and reserves. Would also make sense seeing how BnB (Bould, Banfield) came into 1st team just this season. Dare I say we’d have a much more competent COC campaign this season? (that’s Capital One Cup to you)

Also, cannot imagine how our tropical humidity would affect the players. Halfway through last year’s match, most of the boys were well and proper sweated out. Hehehe, high altitude training is tough? Come do it here :p

Till tomorrow J

DAY BLUE! and Ridiculously Photogenic Guy of Arsenal?

Well here's the Official Arsenal Home Kit For Next Season 2012/2013. Podolski to wear this, maybe M' Vila? More on that on the next post.

Well this Kit has received many interesting reaction within the Arsenal community here. The leaked image of the jersey has been around since Feb if I'm not mistaken. And here in Asia we are quite well known for selling counterfeit Jerseys.

And just last Friday I was walking around the street Kuala Lumpur and I saw this Arsenal fan somehow got a hold of this kit. Of course it's a counterfeit jersey. How do I know? It's not officially release yet, yes thats one. But the collar and sleeve is the color Black not 'Day Blue.'

No matter how well you make a counterfeit jersey, I can differentiate between the real deal and counterfeit. I have some experience and knowledge on Jersey manufacturing. Maybe Nike can hire me for their Special Anti-Counterfeit Task Team.

Anyways the reaction has been mixed. Everyone said;
"Hopefully it'll grow on me"

While a few are hoping the 'Day Blue' color would bring us some magical powers for next season, optimistic bunch.

It's a nice bit of tactic from the Arsenal to make a good video.

Well RvP will have to content putting on the Captain's armband between the Red and 'Day Blue'.

Before I end, I bought Four Four Two magazine earlier today and I saw an article with Mr. Andre Santos in it. There is a picture of him. And I thought to myself. He must 'The Ridiculously Photogenic Guy of Arsenal'

Then 'The Dood' disagreed and said that Mr. Mikel Arteta is 'The Ridiculously Photogenic Guy of Arsenal'

So our viewers and readers, who is Arsenal's Mr 'Ridiculously Photogenic Guy of Arsenal'  #TeamAndreSantos or #TeamArteta

Take Care Guys will write opinion about out Early Signings and other stuff.

He signed in Feb or march? maybe april

This is gonna be a short post.
In 2006, I saw Łukasz Podolski play for the German National Team.
And I thought Mr. Wenger please snap him up immediately. Well that took about 6 years.
Arsene thank you very much for making me and Arsenal fans all around the world really happy about this signing. Will post opinions about our new signing.

Leaked Jersey?

This picture has been circulating around the internet. Arsenal's Leaked 2012/2013 Home and Away Jersey.

Home Jersey, the line across the chest should be remove, make it plain, the fans would like it and be okay with it.

Interesting to see the yellow kit back if it's true. Again the line across the chest should be remove.

spotlight on Thomas Eisfeld

Thomas Eisfeld, the man we signed from Dortmund during the recent transfer window.
Plays attacking midfield, 19 years old.

For some reason he fits the profile of Wenger signings
Thomas Eisfeld comes on the cheap. The fee is reported to be £420,000.

For context and perspective, compare Dortmund’s Shinji Kagawa, who was signed in the summer of 2010 for €350,000 from Cerezo Osaka, who then quickly established himself as Dortmund’s best player before injury interrupted his progress and Mario Götze emerged. Kagawa has become indispensable to the Dortmund team.

Moral of the story:
Good signing is not necessary star signing.

I had discussions with several Arsenal fans. And one of them my brother theorized that:
Maybe Wenger will convert him from an attacking midfielder to a Striker like Rvp.
For me it does not sound crazy. Mr Eisfeld does have talent, I have watched several reserve games video clips which he played.
i.e. vs Swansea reserve.

It would be interesting what happens during the pre-season for this youngster and several others like Jon Toral, Serge Gnabry, Hector Bellerin, Nico Yennaris, Ignasi Miquel, Conor Henderson and others

All I can hope for all these talents is that they don't do a Mark Randall.

A boo for cole

With this kind of Back four of Sagna, Koscielny, Verminator and Gibbs. No wonder they are still undefeated.
If you counted the QPR game, nope cause Gibbs came off, remember?
Chelsea played very negative and unproductive and Boring. The Referee very inconsistant.

Theo's Hamstring injury will be a blow. Yao Kouassi (Gervinho) need to grab this opportunity to prove himself.
The Ox had an off day. Rvp was lively but didn't convert the chances.
Ramsey is a great talent, I'm sure he will shrug off this bad spell. Maybe against Stoke? Why not.
Since we have Diaby back and giving options for Arsene as well Coquelin

Vs Stoke prediction line up.

13, 3, 6, 5, 28, 17, 2, 16, 30, 27, 10
Subs: 21, 20, 39, 7, 11, 15, 29

6 points clear of 3rd. Just need to win the remaining games.

Help us Cesc

"We're not shit. And we're not in crisis. But this result does mean we're under threat. This result means "tougher" fixtures become must-wins." Agreed
We missed Gibbs, Koscielny and Arteta.
Ramsey is just a fraction too slow in his decision making.
Djourou is becoming a liability.
Jenkison needs make Sagna worried on the training ground.

Credit to Wigan, Roberto Martinez, he's a good manager.

Looking at the fixtures ahead. we just need 3 wins to solidify 3rd spot.

Looking at Chelsea they have Barca to be worried about. And injuries and suspensions in their defense are quite a worry for them. So hope the Semi Final will stretch them.
Just need Cesc and Barca to do us a small favor.

Vs Chelsea i'm expecting this starting line up:
13, 28, 5, 6, 3, 17, 8, 7, 15, 14, 10
Subs:
21, 20, 11, 27, 16, 29, 2

JUST NEED TO WIN THE NEXT GAME AND RVP NEEDS TO SCORE GOALS TO WIN THE GOLDEN BOOT!

Come on ARSENAL!

just in "seen Arteta walk to the players' lounge on crutches and with right foot in a protective boot. Doesn't look good."

Let me rephrase to start:
13, 28, 5, 6, 3, 17, 15, 7, 14, 27, 10
Subs: 21, 20, 11, 16, 2, 29, 39

I expect a huge game from AOC_15 same level of performance like what he did vs AC at home. If Arteta is definitely out for vs Chelsea.

Need to play like we did vs AC Milan at the Emirates!! Come on ARSENAL! Come on ARSENAL!

moments.. of boredom? or brilliance?

the good:

the ox protesting in frustration at the final whistle because it looked like we had a brilliant fast break (which probably would have been a goal)

SZCZheddar's brilliant saves in the middle of mind numbing boredom

Santos playing a full 90 (though close ups after the 70th showed him looking panting like a stuck pig :S)

jenks coming back and having some nice runs (though somewhere around the 80th minute, if he had sagna's awareness, that would've allowed him to easily cross into a fairly open box)

BENNAYOUNS GOAL. the most commendable work rate in the team

ramseys developing confidence/positional and reactionary awareness/all round "i'm the next fabregas" meter filling up that fraction more with this 90 mins

OCMC (oh captain my captain) ending his WORSE GOAL DROUGHT SINCE 2008 (4 matches) with the cheekiest of penalty chips.

djourou not fucking up (which to be fair he did his defending well, except some 'clearances' inadvertently fell back to orange)

NO YELLOWS! :D

us getting into lovely penalty inducing positions. ( a plus in my books. yes a brilliant display of skill resulting in a lovely goal is great. but good runs getting into positions where defenders have to do stupid and desperate things to stop you; leading thus, to penalties, is just as delicious in my books :D)

song not resorting to his typical diagonal long pierce cross and more piercing midfield play

seeing boring boring arsenal without the sense of 'handbrake'-ing

walcott being effective. if only for 15 minutes.

the bad:

seeing boring boring arsenal :)

and now. i sleep :)

Arsenal's coming home.

I need to rush this post quickly and here it goes

The reason this blog is called 13th July Arsenal is because the club did a pre-season friendly in our home, Malaysia. And because all of the good names were taken.

Arsenal just announce their preseason tour 2012 tour.
1st Leg 24th July 2012 in Malaysia
2nd Leg 27th July 2012 in Beijing
3rd and final leg 29th July 2012 in Hong Kong.

Last year when the Gunners came by the attendance was around 60,000. To a stadium which can max it's capacity to 80,000
After Arsenal came by, Chelsea, Liverpool drop by as well and the organizers Maxed out the capacity. Apparently some local organizers gave out free tickets for the Chelsea game to max out the stadium, supposedly about 5,000 or more tickets. For Liverpool I got nothing to say cause they have a die hard fan base in Singapore and here in Malaysia. #Just Saying

During the Malaysia vs Arsenal game, I wore my Malaysian jersey while my friends Alfred wore his 2010/2011 Jersey, Vinod 2006/2007 and Jerome who i loaned him my old 1994/1995 Jersey. It was a carnival atmosphere, it could have been even better if our National Stadium, Bukit Jalil didn't have a running track and a divider. Cause we were quite disconnected from the action even from where we were sitting on the front row at a corner flag, where Theo took Arsenal's first corner in the early moment in the first half.

I'm excited to the upcoming game. I need to save up money to the ticket to watch the gunners back in action. Will try to get better seats, maybe behind the Malaysia/Arsenal Bench?
I only hope Man City could drop by and face Arsenal here so we Malaysian Gunners can do our own litter Poznan celebration!

This time around will be much better at least Na$ri won't be around.

I love if Arsenal bring this 23-Man Squad here.

Wojciech Szczesny
Lukaz Fabianski
Damien Martinez
Johan Djourou
Kieran Gibbs
Carl Jenkinson
Laurent Koscielny
Kyle Bartley
Thomas Vermaelen
Bacary Sagna
Per Mertesacker
Andre Santos
Alex Song
Jack Wilshere
Tomas Rosicky
Aaron Ramsey
Mikel Arteta
Francis Coquelin
Abou Diaby
Robin van Persie (C)
PODOLSKI (If the transfer goes thru)
Theo Walcott
Ryo Miyaichi

ABSENT: Emmanuel Frimpong(Injury)

Note, Last year the pitch at the stadium was really really really bad.
Our Football Association have been trying to make the pitch better.
But not improving much so we apologize if the pitch this time around is not up to Arsenal's Standard.

IF ANYONE FROM THE CLUB IS READING THIS. COULD THE PLAYERS PLEASE DO A LAP OF HONOR AFTER THE GAME? THANKS!

Also if any of the Arsenal Twitter heads like @YoungGunsBlog @arseblog @arsenalreport @LeGrove or others are coming by to Malaysia let us @kh4lilul @crazeemunky know we will be happy to show you guys around Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. Also applies @Andre_Santos27 @JackWilshere @Persie_Official @T_Vermaelen05 and the rest of the Arsenal squad members as well.

I'm So looking FORWARD!

2011 Start to the season

I wrote this back in September 1 2011 7am Malaysian time or 31st August 1am London time. Have fun!

I was up for the whole night to keep check on Arsenal's Transfer. Busy on Twitter, Soccernet live chat, Metro.co.ul live chat, Arseblog Chat and etc

So here is the low down.

The words 'better late than never' are very appropiate right now. Good work, Arsène & co.

"Men to help Boys"
Arsene Wenger in my opinion jut proved he has not lost the plot. With Experienced signing of Mikel Arteta, Yossi Benayoun, Per Mertesacker, Andre Santos and Park Chu-Young.

What qualifies then as experienced players

Park Chu-Young, Striker- The South Korean Captain, has a good pedigree in the French Ligue 1. Was chased by French Champions Lille and Lyon in the summer. Hard Working, High work rate, technically good. Surely Chamakh, Ryo and Afobe have their work cut out

Andre Santos, Left Back- a Fenerbahce fan said to Arsenal Fans. He is better than Jose Enrique. There is an interesting stats. Since joining Fenerbache, Games which he started 78% are wins and won the Turkish league in his 1st season. Explosive Full back, good competition to Gibbs

Per Mertesacker, Center-Back- Solid Defender in the German National squad. only received one yellow card in the last 3 years in his career. A clean tackler, great reader of the game, towering centerback, Captain of his previous club and Vice-captain to the National Squad.

Yossi Benayoun, Attacking Midfielder- A great addition to the squad, who will adds tactical discipline to the side. Will provide options on the bench when needed. Captain of his country, good leader on the pitch. Very compose player.

Mikel Arteta, Pivot Midfielder- Who will play the Cesc role. Will help Aaron Ramsey along with Rosicky with his development. Premier League proven player. The great thing about him, he will never be injured on international duty, if you know what I mean.

So we got the experienced needed to this current Arsenal Squad.
So here is the current first Team Squad

13. GK Wojciech Szczęsny

24. GK Vito Mannone
21. GK Łukasz Fabiański

5 signings within 2 days. I don't know about you it has been a bad summer but a really good dateline day.
The most important there is quality and squad in depth in the Arsenal Squad.

It has been a long night so yeah gonna catch some sleep
Keep it Gonnerish!

It has been a very interesting 7 Months eh?

What a two weeks we have
5-2

To the Arsenal!

Let's Keep up this Momentum Arsenal!

Wilshere, Santos, Jenkinson on the stands.

I wonder how is Wilshere feeling at the stands?
First bad pitch or not. We were mauled. The only good players?
Koscielny, Gibbs, Henry,Rvp and Chamberlain.

Vermaelan, Arteta, Walcott, Ramsey, Djourou. awful? I thought they are Arsenal players
Rosicky well it sums up his Arsenal Career. I'm deeply sorry to say that.

Arsenal just ran into a perfect storm of Milan.

Let's just concentrate on the upcoming game vs Sunderland in the FA Cup, get thru the next round of the FA Cup
And pick up Premier League points to be in the top 4.

Let's just hope we give a tough game to Milan on the second leg.

Looking at Jens Lehmann's tweets, all in all Arsenal all the way, I love him.
What he tweeted:
"We'll knock Milan out of Champions league.mark my words! We did it against Inter.were you there?! #arsenal"
"We score more goals at emirates.why worry then?! #coyg"
"We need to score 4,and not let in a goal.maybe add a fifth.just like we did against Inter"
"Am not sacarstic as most of you think.i still love #arsenal. Once a gunner. . . . . . . . . ."
"Am sure i'll be at the emirates to celebrate that comeback.#arsenal"

Here is something interested: The Non-Flying Dutchman's interview about Arsenal's winning mentality
the link.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/arsenal/9082469/Arsenal-are-predictable-weak-and-lacking-a-winning-mentality-says-Dennis-Bergkamp-ahead-of-Milan-clash.html

For a season which started in two of our best players from last season leaving. and injuries plague in the start. I'd say we did ok. There's always the saying "There's always next season." Oh Well.

Onwards to see what's Flamini is doing at AC Milan!

Son-of-a-bitch, I only caught the last 15 minutes of the Sunderland game on the television.
The only thing I could do was to follow these fellow Gooners via twitter on my blackberry on the way back from work.

@lehman_official
@YankeeGunner
@ArsenalGent
@GoonerTalk
@arsenalreport
@arseblog
@YoungGunsBlog
and many many more.

What happend during the match?
Mertesacker got injured and will be out for sometime. Hopefully it would be short-term.
Ramsey Scored.
"Laurent Koscielny excellent again: 87 passes, 97% completion, 100% long ball accuracy, 3 tackles and 2 interceptions." Via @YoungGunsBlog
Szczęsny did well to kept Arsenal in the game.
Has the real Arshavin stood up? He provided the assit for the winner! Fuck yeah!
King Henry bids 'au revoir' with the late winner.

I was particularly impressed with Song the last 5 minutes of the 90minutes he was a rock at the back with Koscielny.

This is a great platform for Arsenal to gain a lot of momentum to solidity the 4th spot, advance to the next round of FA Cup and the North London Derby.
Valuable 3 points today. Come on ARSENAL!!

I found out that we have a good record vs Martin O'Neil on away Matches.

Onwards to the San Siro!!

A Pointless Victory? Far From It

Hello, first of all if you’re reading this, thank you, it’s my first arsenal blog ever (despite reading almost every arsenal blog or article I can find, almost every waking hour. Ok, I kid, every waking minute, or at least 15). I’m a gooner from Malaysia, and have been arse-ing since my teens despite football not being a major sport in my childhood. Enough about me, on with the victory post.

It’s hard to stomach 3 losses in a row, so today has been a wonderful, wonderful reprieve from sucksville for the gunners. Sweetened all the more by a display of Wenger’s elusively talked about ‘mental strength’. The first win we’ve seen after going 2 – nil down since all eternity (I kid, wasn’t it chelski last?), this is Arsenal’s January Valentine indeed.

To be fair, the villains played rather well after our spirited first 10 minute assault. To be fair, fairness is for shit and Tottenscum, who don’t believe in fairness or anything resembling anything good on God’s green earth. We played some nice free flowing football, courtesy of a spirited Ox, a ginormous Rambo, and supported well by a competent back four with the Coq at rightback. Yet we conceded 2 goals. The first from a clever Keane position cross pass to Dunne who towered over Koscielny (who on replay looked like the only defender who jumped high enough to cover for anything) to put it pass flapjacks Joey Fabianskiani. A corner conceded. Now before you quote how horrible Arsenal are at corners, I thoroughly believe that Szcezny would’ve not only punched that corner out of the park, but have also put a fist sized crater in Dunne’s ugly mug. No surprise considering Fabianski hasn’t played much since getting injured in that one match, and quite a surprise why he was even on today considering that Chezzer would have a week’s rest even if he was on for the game. Comments from twitter (because I can’t be arsed to check back who tweeted what) do have a point that it may be a showroom performance to sell him better. After today I wouldn’t be surprised if Gazidis buys him a house and 3 donkeys just to ship him off.

The 2nd goal was a rebound from a shot from a clear break. Yes. A break. What the hell are Villa doing capitalizing on a break you ask? This coming in part from us playing a high line and trying real hard to equalize. The quality of the play may have been lacking but you could see that the team was trying to put in a good shift, so a villa counter with Song, Kos and Verm racing back didn’t look like it would come to much. TV5 slid across but Bent’s shot went through and bounced off the Flapjacksianski, Song tried racing back but bent got the rebound anyway. Kos did look like the stopped his run and strolled back, perhaps he should have boosted and intercepted the rebound but I’ll put my money on him actually having psychic powers and knowing the polish number 2 (see what I did there) would fail to stop it anyway.

Going in to half time 2 goals down to a lesser team was scary. And scary is about as much of an understatement as it can get. The nefarious ‘handbrake’ threatened to come on and give us a right thumping to a ‘lesser’ team once again but that was not to be. Not to discount the effort of the team in the first 45 minutes, but results simply didn’t show. The 2nd half proved the teams mettle. Hard run-ins and the same level of consistency saw Ramsey brought down clearly late by Dunce and that there was no second yellow was quite a screamer. Justice was served on a left-footed plate as Captain Vantastic gave us our first. Unsatisfied, the team drove further on and Walcott got a nice rebound into the net, proving that Shay Given really is shit.

Our 3rd goal may have been a slight bit of luck, with the T-1000 lookalike, Koscielny running all the way in and up and being brought down in the box by Bent. Luck not only being that it took one of our most consistent and stalwart performers but the fact that a defender could run all the way up, and be brought down on a only ever so slightly questionable tackle. (Bent did look like he got a touch on the ball, but the desperation of the tackle clearly showed the villains running out of steam). Robin Van Precious plants the penalty right where Given’s thick skull was a second earlier as the keeper dives right where the last penalty slid past. Done and bagged. I thought we’d get a 4th for sure the way our confidence coming back totally dominated the rest of the match. The scariest bits were any corner or chance that came close because of Fabianski. Other highlights include seeing the wanker Villa fans play beach volley with an out of bounds ball, and then seeing gooners do the same to drag time near the end. And a sneaky Robin elbow while fighting for a header. Heck, he probably figured that if Dunne didn’t get a second yellow, he’d get away with murder.

Now with my shoddy match recap over and done. What does this win signify? Well for one, it’s the first win in 3 losses. If that’s not a breath of fresh air then it’s a damn dose of laughing gas. No premiership points for this (title pun), but also, it’s a win on what may be our only chance for silverware this season. It’s a win coming in from a rather despondent first half where the team pushed and injected solid effort yet had 2 goals down to show for it. It’s a win that caught ‘mental strength’ by the fucking balls and dragged it all that way to shove it down Shay Given’s net. It’s a measly saving grace for the losses to Manure, Fulham and moneyball Swansea. It’s a win that saw further demonstration of the Ox’s bullishness and Mertesacker’s position-god status (yes. I hereby trademark it. Mertesacker. Position GOD.) It’s a win that saw our handsome-boy possession master Arteta coming back. It’s a win that saw one of our first choice fullbacks (yes, the kind of position player that seemed extinct in our squad for our last 2 months) it’s a win that saw Theo and Ramsey put in good productive shifts from a previous game where both looked tired and ineffectual. Screw the reasons. It’s a freaking win. That’s all that matters. For this week at least. Add the icing that we play Sunderland or ‘Boro after this round, Sunderland have our cursed Ginger bastard, and ‘Boro have a history of taking multiple goals against us. And we get OUR FULLBACKS BACK. The rest of the season DOES, once more, look that wee bit more rosy. J

Goals Goals Goals

Had a very interesting conversation with my brother.

Teams that won their respective leagues in the past: Bayern, Dortmund, Barcelona, Ac Milan, Lille, Porto, Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal in 2003/04 and etc.

Teams that won their respective leagues that one thing in common which are: consistent Goal-scorers.

If you are playing a 4-2-3-1/ 4-3-3 Formation. You must have your starting central striker scoring consistently every season. An average of 15-30 Goals. Your second choice main striker also must contribute 5 to 15 goals a season.

Whereas your Winger/Attacking Midfielder must contribute an average of 5 to 15 Goals, per season.

Let's look at some examples.

In 2010/2011 Bundesliga
Borussia Dortmund have:
Strikers: 1st choice striker: Lucas Barrios- 16 Goals. 2nd choice striker: Lewandowski- 8 Goals
Wingers/ Attacking Midfield: Kagawa - 8 Goals. Großkreutz 8 Goals. Götze 6 Goals.
All these goal scoring, help Dortmund to their 7th Bundesliga Tittle.

In 2010/2011 Ligue 1
Lille:
Striker: Moussa Sow: 25 Goals
Wingers: Gervinho: 15 Goals. Eden Hazard 7 Goals
All these Goals help Lille to their first Ligue 1 tittle.

In: 2009/2010 BPL
Chelsea:
Strikers: Drogba 29 Goals. Anelka 11 goals
Wingers/Attacking Midfield: Malouda 12 goals. Fat Frank: 22 Goals
Yes all these goals helped them to win the BPL.

2008/2009 La Liga
Barcelona:
Striker: Eto 30 something goals. Bojan: 10 goals
Wingers/ Attacking midfielders: Henry 28 Goals. Messi 30+ Goals. Hleb None.
Free flowing goals helped them to win the la liga it's a consistent formula for Barcelona since Pep took over.

All these teams won league tittles because of consisted goal scorers.
If you are playing a:
4-4-2:
Both Strikers: a total of 30 goals from both of them. Or even one of them.
Wingers/Attacking Midfielder: total 5 to 25 goals from all of the starting players

4-3-3 or a 4-2-3-1
Starting Central Striker: 15 to 30 goals. Back up striker 5 to 15 goals.
Wingers: 5 to 15 goals per winger.

So if Arsenal wants to win the League. We need consistent goal scorers. So far that Van is the man.

Walcott can't do the job.

Gervinho I believe slowly he can give Arsenal the 10 to 15 goals a season. Has the ability. I see why Arsene brought him.

The Ox as well, slowly he will be that player who can give us goals when we need them the most.

Arshavin is a shade of his former self. His first 12 League games for Arsenal, he scored 6. Imagined if he had that kind of form today.

Chamakh again another player low on confidence.

Overall Arsenal's main problem is goal scoring.

Goals to come from. if Arsenal or any team wants to win the League.
Main Striker: 15 to 30 Goals
Back-up Striker: 5 to 10/15 goals

Left Winger: 10 to 15 goals
Right Winger: 5 to 15 goals
Total back-up Wingers: 5 Goals

Attacking Midfield: 5 to 10 goals
Defensive Midfield 4 to 8 goals.
Back up midfield players: 2 to 4 goals

Total Goals from back 4: 5 to 10 Goals.

Overall goals: 70+ per-season.

The team that always win the Barclays Premier League. Scored more that 70 Goals in that Winning Season. Ever-since 1995.

I'll talk about defensive stats sometime around Next Week.

F.A. Cup vs Villa 2011/2012

Is it a must win game for Arsenal, vs Aston Villa on Sunday?

Arsenal must aim for the F.A. Cup this season. And I don't see why we can't see off Villa this Saturday, no offense to Villa. But under Alex McLeish, it's a ticking time-bomb. Villa needs a good manager like what they had with Martin O'neil. I understand why they went for Roberto Martinez earlier in the summer.

Back to Arsenal, I would see this as a difficult game to win. non-the-less, we should win by one goal. Slowly the club can regain confidence. Usually, the club press the panic button in March every season. Now it's happening earlier, And I believe when the Champions League comes back. Arsenal will get their heads straight before or by then and aim for the prize. Either be FA Cup, Champions League or Top 4.

Predicted-Line up vs Villa

Starting: Szcz-Yennaris-Verm-Koscielny - Miquel- Song-Arteta- Rosicky- Ox- Rvp- Park
Subs: Fabianski, Mert, Ramsey, Henry, Walcott, Ashavin, Coquelin.

Prediction Score: 1-0

I hope if we win this round. I hope the next round Arsenal will get like a Middlesbrough or a Sunderland. I know this is wishful thinking, If Arsenal can ger Man Utd or Liverpool in the 6th round or Semi-Final. I think it will be great cause by Mid March will have a full squad by then.

Currently watching the Barcelona vs Real Madrid.
No Offense:

Arsenal Fans who are watching the Matches at the Emirates. Should be more lively. Every time I watch a Match on TV the atmosphere/mood at the Emirates feels quite down. The only Matches, I felt the Emirates Love is back in 21 January 2007 and 16th Feb 2011. vs Man Utd and Barcelona respectively. And a few others

The Fans Should make the Atmosphere like that every Match!

Take a Page from the Bundesliga. Like Dourtmund, Bremen, St. Pauli fans. Make the Stadium Hostile as possible to the opposition team. And Lovely and lively as possible to the Team on the pitch.

Say what....

We came a long way since August of 2011. The recent 1-2 defeat to Man Utd was very difficult to take.

"You know, Losing to Man United is one thing. Losing the support of your own 'fans', is a whole different thing. Some 'fans' are ridiculous. Disappointing? Yes. But show some decency & respect for fuck's sake." -One Arsenal Fans states-

Honestly, Piers Morgan aka 'Mr Excitement' #sarcasm. Hammering the club that he supports, as usual. If you can't get behind the team when we lose a match then you are not allowed to cheer the team when we win. I guess everyone has their own way of loving the club.

Let's talk about the game.
We started with Szczeer, Djourou, Mert, Kozzer, Vermaelen, Ramsey, Song, Rosicky, Walcott, RVP, The Ox.

Ratings out of 5
Szczeer- 3
Djourou- 1
Mert-4
Kozzer- 4
Vermaelen- 3
Ramsey- 2
Song- 3
Rosicky- 4
Walcott- 2
RVP- 3
The Ox- 4

Subs: Yennaris-3
Arshavin and Park- 2 didnt have enough impact

Mertesacker, Kosicelny, Rosicky and The OX has a really good game. Shame if we'd won the Match I would gave MOTM to Mertesacker. But we didn't.

Why things are going downhill lately? The Fullbacks, ever since Santos and Sagna got injured many of Arsenal's results could have went the other way if we had them. evidence: vs Man City, vs Wolves, vs Fulham and just now vs Man Utd.

We already miss Arteta and Gervinho a quite a bit. but Rosicky and Ox are stepping up against Man Utd. hopefully we can cope in a short term period.

We came a long way since August. I do believe that we can achieve 4th place and get champions league football next season. Our luck will turn around soon. Gotta wait for Arteta, Sagna, Santos, Wilshere, Diaby and etc to return one by one to give us the boost.
